How are artworks packaged for delivery?

All artworks are prepared and packed according to museum‑standard handling protocols. Packaging is designed to provide structural support, protect surfaces, and ensure stability during transit.

Typically , for international shipping artwork are either delivered rolled in a canister to reduce your shipping costs. Locally artworks are wrapped in glassine and bubble wrap and then placed in a box with corner protectors and if required additional corrugated cardboard.


Are artworks insured during transport?

Yes. All artworks are fully insured while in transit from dispatch until delivery. Insurance coverage forms an integral part of our transport process and is included in the shipping cost.


Who is responsible for the artwork during delivery?

Responsibility for the artwork is transferred to the courier upon dispatch and remains covered by insurance until delivery is completed. In the rare event of loss or damage during transit, appropriate claims procedures are managed in accordance with professional standards. (See Returns Policy for more information)


What courier services are used?

We work with carefully selected professional courier services experienced in handling artworks. Couriers are chosen based on artwork size, destination, and the handling requirements specific to each piece.


How long does delivery take?

Artworks are typically dispatched within 3–5 business days. Delivery generally occurs within 1–5 business days after dispatch, depending on location and logistical conditions. These timeframes are provided as estimates.


What should I do upon receiving my artwork?

We recommend inspecting the packaging and artwork upon delivery. Any visible damage to the outer packaging should be noted at the time of receipt. Please notify us promptly should any concerns arise. See Returns policy for more information.


Are large or framed works handled differently?

Yes. Large, framed, or structurally complex works may require specialist handling and packaging. Such works are assessed individually to ensure appropriate preparation and transport safeguards.


Do you offer complimentary shipping?

Complimentary shipping is offered on orders exceeding R3 500, excluding large or oversized .


Do you ship internationally?

International shipping may be arranged by request and is subject to separate handling, documentation, insurance, and pricing considerations. Customs fees and taxes are payable by the buyer.
